Violent Acres and Louis Vuitton

One of ArmCandyGirl’s favourite bloggers out there is the irrepressible Violent Acres, a brilliantly funny writer with a life story that rivals the most controversial of celebrity memoirs.

Why do we love VA so much? Well, there are many reasons, the most important being that she is smart, savvy, sarcastic, and (we strongly suspect) hot as hell.

So! Without further adieu, ArmCandyGirl would like to present the Perfect Purse for Violent Acres. We give you:

Now why this purse, we hear you ask?

Well for starters, it has exquisite craftsmenship. VA comes across as a lady who appreciates the finer things in life, so that’s quite important.

Then there’s the fact that, despite it being a Louis Vuitton purse, it isn’t slathered in obnoxious LV signs – VA doesn’t care if you know she’s carrying a $1,500 purse because she doesn’t give a flying monkey what you think (a sentiment she has made patently clear thus far with her ‘no comments allowed’ policy).

And then there’s the fact that the purse is just the right size for our heroine to tote around all day without getting too tired, but still large enough to use as a weapon (beware, mommy bloggers!) .

Finally, we think Violent Acres and the Damier Berkeley would be perfect for each other because, much like Violent Acres herself, this purse is oh-so sweet, classy and pretty in the edgiest of ways.

    Well, the newest VA post definitely went against everything you said in this post.

    But I’ll be honest, I’ve been imagining many of the same things about the VA author after reading her posts for so long.

    “(we strongly suspect) hot as hell.” I was definitely picturing one of Charlie’s Angels to be exact.

    A lot of the time a girl is smart and witty is because she’s unattractive. So CAN it be the reason? Perhaps, but you can’t always see intellect and wit from across the room.

    Oh that’s excellent. I’ve always pictured something similar, though from her response post she says she has no fashion sense. I’ve always secretly pictured VA as one of my long-lost friends Sabrina, who had great fashion sense, but didn’t really give a crap enough to exercise it, and often would dress just like that… Comfort being, after all, the ultimate guide in fashion, IMHO.

    But yeah, I’ve always pictured her with a LV or other similarly good bag. (Or is it my bag of choice is my cherry blossom LV that I was given…?) The world may never know…

    I have a jacket that’s made with way more dead cow skin than any of these things. Not only that, it keeps me warm AND holds my shit, for just a fraction of the price!

    What the hell makes you think V, who’s made numerous posts about financial responsibility and the value of a dollar, would spend any more than about $50 on a purse? You could have a Vegas vacation with that money!

    Not to mention that all the LV purses and wallets I’ve seen (I’m assuming the repeated claims that “It’s real!” are true, because I’ve heard enough of the same people carrying different “designer purses” say, “Yeah, it’s fake”) are made of PVC and nylon. For a $1420 purse, $5 goes towards materials, $10 for labor, and the remaining $1405 is pure profit. That’s quite a racket Mr. Frenchy’s got going on there. I’d rather pay $50 for a purse made of real leather, thankyouverymuch. And judging by her attitude about money, I’m sure V would do the same.

With all of these blogs, it is normal to build a picture of the person behind it. How were we to know that she has a thing for too long jeans and Doggy-poop bags eh?     “without further ado,” is, I think, the phrase you were looking for. Or maybe you were just being adorably French and you wanted to say without further goodbye because it makes so much sense. Also, the craftsman in craftsmanship is always, always singular, no matter how many craftsmen you imagined slaving away at the LV factory.
    I can’t believe you have a website devoted to imagining what style of handbag various strangers carry. VA catches a break for having shitty grammar cause she says brilliant things. But you– what the hell is your excuse?

    Wow! Some harsh critics! I’m not a fan of Louis Vuitton for the price tag and like you said – they are usually ‘lathered in obnoxious LV signs’ but as far as Vuitton goes this is a pretty stylish bag – and a great post! Look forward to reading more!
