Coach Of The Jungle
Looks like Coach has Jungle Fever!
Now this purse, I like. It’s funky and cute and very very retro-chic.
All major points.
Now, as much as I DO approve of this bag, I will not – unlike Coach HQ – go so far as to say it is PERFECT with every outfit, day or night – because it quite obviously is not.
Is that a bad thing? No. It’s more like a completely irrelevant thing, because what on earth kind of purse would go with every outfit, day or night – don’t you dare say the Coach Holiday Patchwork!
I’ll tell you what kind of purse would go with everything all the time – the sort of miracle purse that has yet to be invented.
When it is invented, I promise you you’ll hear it here first.
Anyway, the purse pictured is the deliciusly-named Zebra Taffy from Coach, a canvas purse with leather lining and a zip closure.
Jungle-cute!

A Total Betty
You’ll be very pleased to know that Chloe currently have a batch of Paddington’s etc available – one of those rare times when they do, so don’t rest on your laurels, ladies.
The purse pictured is the Large Betty Satchel from Chloe. It’s a cauldron-coloured metallic shade of gray leather with silver hardware and two handles.
Now, the important word here is large – this season it’s all about huge purses, and in that case, you can’t really get very much more fashionable than this bag. Plenty of the younger Hollywood set are carrying these huge bags around, and it’s cute because big bags always look adorable on little women.
There are plenty of pockets for those of you who need pocket-y purses, and plenty of zips for security.
Pre-order before it’s too late!

Fraggle Spade
This funny little fuzzball of a purse made me laugh out loud the first time I saw it – and honestly, the picture here barely does it justice.
It is adorable. A fuzzy, furry, colourful little muppet of a bag made of satin and feathers with gold hardware and a chain handle.
The design is meant to be reminiscent of those old-fashioned powder puffs women used to use, which I’ve always loved for their gorgeously soft tickliness.
It’s not a normal bag by any means of the words but honestly, who cares. It’s hilarious, and bright, and kooky, and just so much fun.
Kudos to la Spade!

Anna’s Butterfly
This purse is called the Leather Butterfly Bag – it’s from Anna Sui, and quite a lovely-looking little thing.
It’s hard to really place it in terms of day/evening use – really it could be easily transfered from day to night without hesitation. Although it looks very suedy, it’s actually made of gold leather with pink lining, chain handle, and a simple zip top.
There’s something very youthful about the style and design… altogether a very beautiful, striking little purse.
They don’t just do perfume, you know!
SRP $520.00
Strappy Botkier
Apparently this purse is going to be one of the more coveted purses of the year – which means that in about two weeks it will be sold out, available by waiting list only for the rest of the year – or it will trundle steadily along without causing a huge fuss yet visible everywhere.
My money’s on the latter – Botkier still have a lot of promotion before they can claim It purse status, although there’s no doubt the product is lovely.
It’s called the Botkier Skeleton Big Drawstring, an imaginative name for a very imaginative-looking purse.
What you see is pretty much what you get – gorgeously soft minty-forest green leather with big white straps that are bolted on with gold hardware. The top has a drawstring closing, as the name indicates – altogether a very unusual purse that does sort of grow on you after a while.
For all you lining ladies, it’s got a hardy lining so don’t be afraid to fill her up.
Something very different for the spring…

Juicy Poochy
Now this is so adorable – Juicy Couture has a pet carrier! And what a pet carrier!
It’s called, unsurprisingly, the Terry Pet Carrier – made of trademark pink terry cloth with burnished gold leather trim and a big “Love Me Love My Dog” stitched into the front in gold.
Its very pooch-friendly, with lots of zips and clasps to make taking the little one out or putting him in nice and easy. What a lucky little doggy!
Love me, love my Juicy!

Sssalvatore!
This has got to be the most Italian purse I have ever seen in my life.
Ever.
It’s the Gancini Anaconda Shoulder Bag from Salvatore Ferragamo – a slitheringly golden snakeskin leather purse with gold hardware and a cute little front ‘pouch’.
If this purse were a person it would be a J-Lo/Carmela Soprano/Beverly Hills housewife mix… although pretty much any kind of woman could have fun with this purse in some way or other.
Rather unusually, there’s no clasp of any sort – it’s just an open-top purse, which isn’t really a surprise – would you even consider trying to steal from a woman who swung this sort of bag around?
I didn’t think so.

Forever Valentino
We’re all guilty of a little label-lovin’ – who isn’t?
As unclassy as it may be to admit to, there’s certainly something decidedly sensual about carrying a super-label bag – and it has a lot less to do with money than you might think.
After all, Valentino purses are certainly not the most expensive you will ever come across. They ARE expensive – but after looking at a few Hermes or Fendi offerings, you become blase about a grand here and there.
But that’s why Valentino is so easy to worship. In terms of their product, of course it’s beautiful – beautifully designed, beautifully crafted, beautifully advertised, and beautifully named… Valentino.
It’s got that old-school glamour that all the money in the world can’t fake – and that’s what’s so special. It’s that little nod to past glory that makes Valentino more than just a purse.
The purse pictured is the Embroidered Flap Bag – sold as an evening purse but quite adaptable to daytime wear thanks to the lack of sparkly and/or glittery bits.
It’s made of embroidered brown suede with gold leather and turquoise gems all mixing to create an extremely striking purse – definitely not the sort of purse every woman can carry off, but for those who can – kudos.
Purses may come and purses may go, but a Valentino is for life.

Miu Miu Does Tote
Now here’s a really glamorous tote – it’s the Drawstring Tote from Miu Miu, and unlike yesterday’s Dooney & Bourke, the drawstring on this one is for real.
It’s a beautifully made tote – creamy white leather and silver hardware on both the buckles and the delicate floral applique that graces the front.
Altogether a pretty, stylish purse that nods towards this seasons fashion of longer-shaped tote bags.
Miu-licious!
SRP $795.00
Ashley & Bourke
We <3 Dooney & Bourke.
They keep updating their classic designs so that every season, they seem brand-spanking new.
It’s impossible to ever get bored – remember the Tattoo Banana Bag? And just about anything from the Hearts collection?
Well, they’ve come up with yet another fresh, cute, and fun design with the purse pictured – it’s the Large Tapered Tassel bag in Denim/Red – like most Dooney & Bourke bags, you’re spoilt for choice as far as colour goes.
The drawstring closure is merely decorative – the real snap is magnetic. Handles are made of a hardy leather, while the rest of the tote is signature Dooney & Bourke fabric.
It’s a perfect gift for the sort of girl who likes ‘cute’ to have an edge to it…
Again: We love Dooney & Bourke!
