Sado - McQueenism
Now here’s a rather intimidating-looking purse.
It’s the Small Novak Chain-Strap Bag from Alexander McQueen, and in terms of quality and style there’s everything you would expect from that particular fashion house - gorgeous jet-black leather, gold hardware and gold links in the shoulder strap.
What made this bag stand out is the very slight yet undeniable air of delicious unwholesomeness about it - something both exciting and risque. The black and gold of the strap is just like the warning stripes of a wasp - or any other creature capable of causing discomfort.
Truly a unique purse - perhaps not for everyone, but all the more intriguing for it.

Juicy Paradise!
There’s something about pinapples that are particularly beguiling - especially if you are residing in a country where the climate is less than forgiving.
Pineapples indicate sun, sea, drinks, bikini’s, sand, and lots more drinks.

Mulberry Cream
We’re going back to the Brits with this lovely little purse from Mulberry.
Very Empire-Englishwoman Abroad, it’s called the Mulberry Araline Purse - made of a very comely nappa leather, braided leather shoulder straps, cream stitching and brass hardware.
The lock on the front is a delight - it’s so old-fashioned and rare. The whole purse is very unusual in its design, and tassel-haters beware - tassels are very much in this season!
It’s beautifully designed and executed - absolutely nothing less than we would expect from Mulberry.

Christian Snow
I love messenger bags - they are lovely purse-alternatives on days where you’re being just a little more active than usual, but don’t want to lugging a backpack around.
This right here is the Diorissimo Small Messenger bag from Christian Dior, and it’s something of a failure as far as messenger bags go.
Why?
Well, it’s just too pretty. We’re looking at a satiny jaccquard canvas with the Dior logo, creamy leather trim and silver hardware. It’s a very lux, very covetable purse - and entirely unsuitable as a messenger. Messengers are meant to be cute, not this gorgeous.
Unless of course you’re just <i>pretending</i> to be busy… in which case it really is perfect.
Now, white purses are like white coats… extremely high maintenance - and extremely worth it. A real diamond of a purse from Christian Dior.

Icy Marc
This is a really lovely, unsual purse.
It’s called the Sienna Icy Leather Zipper, from the ever-brilliant Marc Jacobs. Certainly one of the more different-looking purses we’ve seen this year - beautifully grained leather with a sparkly cold sheen to it, a gorgeously thick shoulder strap, suede interior, adjustable width and gold hardware.
It’s something of a cross between a hobo and a satchel, not quite here or there but striking just the same.
It’s a vibrant, stylish purse, right up to the standards you can expect from Marc Jacobs - plus if you see anyone with it, you get to yell, "Your Zipper is undone!" Hilarious!

Comedic Couture
This is a really funny purse. Funny as in, ha-ha funny, not weird funny - although it certainly is pretty weird-looking at the same time.
I mean look at it. It looks like a funny smily face, with a tongue sticking out - a sort of pink fat froggy face. It’s hilarious. And what’s even more hilarious is that it’s a <i>Versace</i> bag.
It’s called the Couture Woven Satchel - as far as the actual make up of the purse is concerned… well, I don’t know where on earth to start.
It’s a huge mish-mash of pink suede and patent leather, overlaid with silver and grey leather with pink leather trim and gold and silver hardware. Plus pockets all over the place with the Versace plaque zip. And that’s it in a nutshell - there’s a lot more going on with this purse but those are the most important details.
What’s also important is that those leather tassels look like flippers. Or little paws. Or landing gear.
It’s good to know the folks at Versace have a sense of humour, even if it’s unwitting…

Mini Vuitton
Now here’s something cool - a little purse designed to a) fit into another bigger purse or b) just be used a tiny stand-alone purse/clutch.
It’s called the Lexington accessory pouch from Louis Vuitton’s Vernis collection - made of a gorgeous glossy pink embossed patent leather with removable wrist strap.
It really is such a great idea… you could use it as a make up bag, or a change purse, or just a little jewellery pouch… the possibilities are endless.
There’s nothing like a multi-purpose purse to make a girls day. You’re getting better at this, Louis Vuitton!

Golden Choo
This glittery little evening bag is the Carina Suede Purse from Jimmy Choo.
Made from a beautiful gold suede material, it’s pretty much gold all over - gold hardware handles and studs, gold stitching, and gold beaded trim. The handle has a sort of tiger-yellow adornment to it, over a magnetic closure.
It’s a very decadent, luxurious looking purse… like an extremely valuable and rare golden droplet of a pearl. The fact that it’s made of suede means extra special care will have to be taken care of it - this is no doubt a real treat of a purse rather than a long-term practical investment.
It is because of that fact rather than despite it that this purse is such a pleasure - it’s more than glamorous and gorgeous enough to be worth it… a real princess purse from Jimmy Choo.

Dooney Cowgirl
Dooney & Bourke have come over all cowgirl on us with this lovely purse from their New Leather collection.
It’s the Medium Zip Top bag, made of leather with an adjustable strap and zip closure. The front of the purse has the Dooney & Bourke logo stamped into it fairly discreetly.
The whole frontier look of this purse is extremely charming - it’s nothing close to being the girly girls’ purse we usually expect from Dooney & Bourke. It just goes to show that they really do have something for everyone!

A Juicy State Of Mind
If there’s one thing every woman needs, it’s a decent make up bag. Without it, your make up will scatter all through the house and before you know it, you’ll be finding mascara in the breadbin and lipstick under the bed.
Therefore any make up case should be looked on as an investment - although, unlike most investments, purses are fun.
The bag pictured here is the State Of Mind Tri-Fold Cosmetics bag from Juicy Couture. It’s made of blue velour (how very Juicy, right?) with gold hardware and leather trim.
The Juicy logo in front is rhinestone stitching - the inside of the bag is a glory of compartments and plastic casings and secret pockets.
It really is a very funky little thing - and it certainly won’t break the bank…
